One place I Iived had canals - we used to take a dinghy up them and had to lie flat in it to get under some of the bridges!!! Canals are just kinda 'like that' 🤷🏻‍♂️ Brickmonton is lookin the part!!!

My toddler is I think a little older than your kiddos. And a birthday gift I got for my little one was the Duplo animals of the world and wow it's definitely a hit! Expensive set, but so worth seeing the joy from playing with all the cool animals!

You could swap those cheese slopes beside the sidewalk for some trans yellow tiles. ‘Lights’

This might seem like only a minor change compared to what you did in the last video, but I feel it's very significant. The canal does need to be that wide and the road plate seems a lot more natural now. Keep up the great work!

In a hilly area, sidewalks are sometimes on very different levels to the road. Often higher, with a token fence for example. So, unless you want it all level, I'd say don't sweat over it.

Those bridges are definitely way better! I would mess with the train track. Great work. Little by little but take your time with it. It doesn't has to be finished in a few weeks.

As you start to think about the canal, one of the towns near me does a boat parade/float/display at Christmas with different themed boats in their canal, you could do something seasonally if you wanted.

Most bridges have expansion gaps , so it is perfect. All looking great. Love to see the rest of the canal finished too. Tfs

you should build some water taxis for the canal, they would look cool

The corner panel of rocks does not fit in with the other stuff. It kind of just looks like it's out of place. I think you should mould those rocks into the corner around the train tracks and make that all just one colour of water.

I think one way to help make those two bridges look more integrated is to fill in the green space between them with a hillside slope, blending them into an organic slope.

The bridges looks great! Also in Amsterdam and Venice Italy the brigdes are not high aswell

[ 9:39 ] How about replacing the topmost 16x16 road plate, and two adjoining 8x16 plates, with two differently-angled 16x16 road plates, instead, thus giving the road profile a slightly more rounded look ( made up of 4 distinct road planes, as opposed to the current 3-road planes trapezoid )? This might look a bit nicer, and would reduce the gaps on either side of the current topmost 16x16 road plate, as well.

You could just cut your tables and lower the canal and ocean. It’s a big commitment but would look better.

Have you considered using the transparent dark blue 1x4 plates for the water in the canal? That might give the impression of greater depth in that area.

Idk if someone suggested this but I think you should do a wavy canal not straight through the city. I think it would look really cool if you would do that and you can create a boardwalk and a park next to it

Have you tried running the train anti-clockwise? The extra distance before the bridge might allow the train to build up a bit more speed. Love the updates, thanks!

Great progress! I think it would look nice if you actually removed the sidewalk on the bridge. At the same time completely removed the sidewalk on that side. Why would it even be a sidewalk between the road och traintrack? It would give the area som well needed space in my opinion. PS. I love the channel!

Just assemble a 43 member bridge commission and change it according a majority vote... ;) Aka. never gonna happen!

Hopefully you're done. And hopefully you please the people to stop telling you to change it. Three videos on this one areas enough you have a whole city to build.

It still does not look right. The canal is in the wrong place which makes road train track boardwalk look ridiculous. The boardwalk was fantastic before you put the awful bridge in. Leave it and return in 6 months to redo it.

I was thinking the same thing about the colored bricks being an Easter Egg
